Welcome on this blog full of information about British comics and offcourse the comics.
A British comic is a periodical published in the United Kingdom that contains comic strips. It is generally referred to as a comic or a comic magazine, and historically as a comic paper.
British comics are usually comics anthologies which are typically aimed at children, and are published weekly, although some are also published on a fortnightly or monthly schedule. The top three longest-running comics in the world, The Dandy, The Beano, and Comic Cuts, are all British, although in modern times British comics have been largely superseded by American comic books and Japanese manga.
You can access the information and comics through the sidebar.
The comics are mostly in packages from around 100mb, inside these rar-packages you will find the comics in cbr format.
There are no DC Thomson related comics on the site, because i had to remove these.
You can view the comics with any cbr-reader like CDisplay or ComicRack.
Most comics are from the 50’s-80’s with some 90’s.
I only place issues from last century,
so no issues newer than the year 1999.
I did not scan the comics myself only collect them from various sites on the internet, internet archive, Usenet Newsgroups and torrents.
So thanks to all the scanners and uploaders.
This blog is purely ment to preserve the comics and to enjoy them, no financial meanings are involved, if you like the comics buy them as long as they are availabe, because nothing can beat the feeling of reading a real comic.
If you find something wrong (downloads, numbering, information) please let me know so that i can correct the error.
Thanks to the following sites for the information :

Sorry to hear the nasty news from D.C. Thomson. Anyway who are any profits going to?! The seventies seems like yesterday to me so it’s weird and sad to think that most of the writers, artists, editors, printers and newsagents I bought from will be dead now. Their adventure anthologies were (along with I.P.C.’s) the highlight of British comics history for me, despite the prevalence of war stories (not a big fan). Their visibility will be about zero now but I hope the heroic scanning continues (though this was the only site I know of that hosted certain issues). I was enjoying POSSESSED in JUDY lol.

I am almost done with the new blog Family Comics, the focus is on fun comics, but there will also be educational and holiday comics and a sports sections, all mainly from the years 40-90 with some 90’s. You can look for yourself, i only have to do the various comics from R to Z the next days, the rest of the links are working.
Family Comics
I am also working on updates for most of the blogs, i have to sort and prepare almost 2000 issues so that will consume alot of my time and i hope to have them ready at the end of next month or early december.
I am also working on reorganizing some titles for this blog.
Making compilations from all Tiger titles is also a work in progress but will take some more time because there are well over 80 titles to compile and make.
And i am working on the blog for Comic Heroes of the Silver and Bronze age, but that will be ready somewhere early next year.
So far my schedule for the next months, i like to plan ahead as you can see.

I’m disappointed to read that you have had to remove the DC Thompson comics from your page, this is the loss of a valuable resource.
It also annoys me that they have taken action against you when people are selling DVD’s of scans (probably taken from here) on Ebay and DCT do nothing about that, which is worse as someone is making money out of them when you provide for free.
Now DCT have taken action, I wonder if Rebellion will as they own all the former IPC titles and charecters? I hope not as while they do provide reprints of stories in book or ditigal, many of the stories will never reappear.
Many thanks for the hard work you have put into this site, lets hope the rest of it stays put!

I’ve just noticed that Wizard has now disappeared. This wasn’t on the original list of DC Thomson comics that you were ‘forced’ to remove. I am wondering whether Wizard has now suffered the same fate as the others. If it has, these are very sad times indeed.

I forgot that one at first, it had to be removed indeed.

I’ve been trying to think of a way to prevent any other companies stopping you from listing their comics. There are some other comic websites that require registration and a log-in to download anything and their homepage is quite plain, so to anyone casually surfing the web, there is nothing to see. Do you think that might help?

Thanks. I don’t like to hide the blogs behind passwords and logins, if that is all possible with a public site like WordPress anyway. I just always keep in mind that things like that can happen and continue with what’s left, even if it means i will have empty blogs at the end, old soldiers never die, they just fade away.

That’s a fair point. I just feel so disappointed that after all of your hard work, collecting these comics to share with us, someone can come along and make you remove them.

I thought that I would revisit a couple of old favourites – Valiant and Lion.
A list of incomplete/damaged issues of Valiant was posted to the main page nearly one year ago (07/12/18). So far, only a complete Valiant 021 (1963-02-23) has been provided, thanks to Leegt. Although it would be nice to replace all of those listed, I am particularly keen to replace those issues of Valiant where entire pages are missing from ongoing weekly strips/serials rather than those with just missing ads or slightly damaged/torn edges. These are:
Valiant 012 (1962-12-22) – the 2nd page of a 2-page ‘Jack O’Justice’ strip is missing.
Valiant 332 (1969-02-08) – the last page of a 3-page ‘Raven on the Wing’ strip is missing
Valiant 367 (1969-10-11) – the 2nd page of a 3-page ‘House of Dolmann’ strip is missing.
Valiant 590 (1974-05-04) – the 2 pages of the ‘Yellowknife of the Yard’ strip are both missing.
Also, from Lion:
Lion 0914 [1969-10-11] – the last page of a 3-page ‘Carson’s Cubs’ strip is missing.
Lion 1023 [1972-02-12] – page 22 (Steel Commando) is incomplete due to something being cut out from page 21.
Can anyone help with complete scans of the above.

Cracking update as usual.
All your other Harrier comics are on your underground blog and it would make sense to move them over to here.
Also, with publishers like Harrier and Alan Class who have lots of titles, it might be good to put them all together in their own widget.

Thanks, good idea to move the Harrier comics onto this blog. I have to think about making widgets for publishers.
