Welcome on this blog full of information about British comics and offcourse the comics.
A British comic is a periodical published in the United Kingdom that contains comic strips. It is generally referred to as a comic or a comic magazine, and historically as a comic paper.
British comics are usually comics anthologies which are typically aimed at children, and are published weekly, although some are also published on a fortnightly or monthly schedule. The top three longest-running comics in the world, The Dandy, The Beano, and Comic Cuts, are all British, although in modern times British comics have been largely superseded by American comic books and Japanese manga.
You can access the information and comics through the sidebar.
The comics are mostly in packages from around 100mb, inside these rar-packages you will find the comics in cbr format.
There are no DC Thomson related comics on the site, because i had to remove these.
You can view the comics with any cbr-reader like CDisplay or ComicRack.
Most comics are from the 50’s-80’s with some 90’s.
I only place issues from last century,
so no issues newer than the year 1999.
I did not scan the comics myself only collect them from various sites on the internet, internet archive, Usenet Newsgroups and torrents.
So thanks to all the scanners and uploaders.
This blog is purely ment to preserve the comics and to enjoy them, no financial meanings are involved, if you like the comics buy them as long as they are availabe, because nothing can beat the feeling of reading a real comic.
If you find something wrong (downloads, numbering, information) please let me know so that i can correct the error.
Thanks to the following sites for the information :

Thanks, you can send it and i will replace the other.

Hi Boutje, just some more useful information for you.
The Jackpot Annual 1966 that you have on the Jackpot page of IPC Magazines Ltd, was not from the same publisher, it was published by World Distributors (Manchester) Limited. The 1st Jackpot comic had 2 Annuals only, the 1966 & it also had 1967.
When I find out more about this 1st series of Jackpot comic, like how many comic issues it had also and the dates it were published, I will let you know more.

Thanks, i will try to take these information onto the Jackpotpage when i am going to reorganize it.

When i reorganize the page for Jackpot i will place this 1966 Annual in the various page because other than the name it has nothing to do with the Jackpot comics from IPC.

Shiver and Shake was not 83 Comics.
Well, they would have done, but for a little printing dispute.
In the Summer of ’74 industrial action forced a four-week
gap into the run, affective from issue 69 (June 29th) to
issue 70 (August 3rd).
So minus 4 issues means it was 79 issues altogether.

Thanks, yes that can be confusing sometimes these industrial actions when you are numbering and dating the issues.

I will make 1 last update this month before my summerbreak,
I will collect all that is shared for the 1st update after summerbreak

That goes for all my blogs.
More time now for outside activities.
I will keep my eyes on the blogs and i will read the comments
and answer when necessary.
Still do some work in the background and when the weather
turns out to be bad for 1 or more days i will be working on reorganizing
pages and making compilations.
As Julius Caesar once said “i’ll be back”.

Enjoy your summer break, it is something we all need from time to time.
I am making preparations to move home soon, busy. It is not easy sometimes, especially when you make plans to relocate in three different countries.
I am waiting to sell my home, in order but three smaller homes, one in France, one in Italy and one that I haven’t decided yet.

Thanks and good luck with relocating and selling.

I didn’t know Julius Caesar said “I’ll be back”.
I always thought that Arnold Schwarzenegger said that.

But he heard it from his father Julius first.

I’m in the process of finishing scanning the Victor Book for Boys 1978. That will be ready in the next couple of days.
By the time you’re ready for another update in September I should have quite a few more including some of the missing Warlord Annuals, Eagle (2nd series) Annuals, and a recently acquired copy of the Victor Summer Special 1967 (the one that seems to be hard to locate).
I might be able to fill in a few of the missing Battle Action Force as well. I have boxes and boxes of comics from the 70’s and 80’s in storage. I read quite a lot of comics as a child. 😀

Thanks, great work. I will wait for that 1978 Book before i prepare the update. Looking forward for the others after the summerbreak.

I am very interested in the Jane Bond series that ran in Princess and Tina. This is for my SpyGuysAndGals website. I have been already gotten a ton of great comics and accompanying info from your site on other spy series like Iron Hand, Steel Claw, Johnny Nero, Barracuda. Not all have gone live yet but each has a thank you to your site. Anyways, any idea where I can get more info and possibly many of the actual (digital) copies? Thanks!

You are welcome. I am afraid i can’t help you with your question, everything i can lay my hands on always ends up at this blog. I almost say, if you can’t find it here it’s nowhere near. But there’s always a chance to find some so i will always keep on searching.

There would be still a few of the Summer Specials missing. I have recently acquired a copy of the 1987 and 1988 Victor Book for Boys so that will complete the hardcover annuals.
I’m trying to track down copies of the missing Summer Specials. I recently acquired a copy of the 1967 Summer Special.
There are 6 Summer Specials that I need to track down copies of (1978, 1979, 1983, 1985, 1986, and 1987). When I do that (and scan them), the Victor will be 100% complete.
