Welcome on this blog full of information about British comics and offcourse the comics.
A British comic is a periodical published in the United Kingdom that contains comic strips. It is generally referred to as a comic or a comic magazine, and historically as a comic paper.
British comics are usually comics anthologies which are typically aimed at children, and are published weekly, although some are also published on a fortnightly or monthly schedule. The top three longest-running comics in the world, The Dandy, The Beano, and Comic Cuts, are all British, although in modern times British comics have been largely superseded by American comic books and Japanese manga.
You can access the information and comics through the sidebar.
The comics are mostly in packages from around 100mb, inside these rar-packages you will find the comics in cbr format.
There are no DC Thomson related comics on the site, because i had to remove these.
You can view the comics with any cbr-reader like CDisplay or ComicRack.
Most comics are from the 50’s-80’s with some 90’s.
I only place issues from last century,
so no issues newer than the year 1999.
I did not scan the comics myself only collect them from various sites on the internet, internet archive, Usenet Newsgroups and torrents.
So thanks to all the scanners and uploaders.
This blog is purely ment to preserve the comics and to enjoy them, no financial meanings are involved, if you like the comics buy them as long as they are availabe, because nothing can beat the feeling of reading a real comic.
If you find something wrong (downloads, numbering, information) please let me know so that i can correct the error.

The new improved ”Cheeky and Krazy weekly” coming soon !
”Hit Kid” from Krazy and ”Hid Kid” from Cheeky are related. they are both Cousins.
”Hit Kid” was hired to do contracts to Hit on bullies of local kids.
”Hid Kid” had many reasons to hide his face from the world [one reason, so Yikky-Boo cannot sneak up behind and frighten him].

In addition to Hid Kid never let anyone know where he was :
1] As his Cousin ”HIT KID” also never shown his face, Bullies who had a HIT on them, went out for revenge to find him, assuming that HIT KID never showed his face, they thought it was ”HID KID”. So ”HID KID” went into hiding not to be harmed.
2] ”HID KID” was also scared of LIBBY, that she might wallop him with her Protest Board, another reason to hide.
3] ”HID KID” was also scared of LOUISE, that she might accidently Kiss him too, if she knew what he looked like. [He also was another Cousin of Cheeky and looked like him].

Another new Character is ”Woonga Baga Lulu”.
He is from Africa.
He keeps chanting : ”Woonga Baga Lulu” and everyone keeps running away from him, thinking he is trying to cast a spell on them.
Reason they think this, is because it reminds them of ”Disaster Des” and his saying : ”Doodle Dum Doodle Dee” and it brought nothing but Disaster.
Could they perhaps related in some way ?
The answer is No ! However there is a logical explanation to the chant ”Woonga Baga Lulu” and everyone is scared for no reason.

The Monkey that keeps chasing Louise everywhere is named ”Monkey MONK KEY”,
and he has a bald patch on top of his head, which makes him look like a Monk and he runs around holding a Key, to try to unlock Louise Heart for him.
It was Love at first sight for him, and he is absolutely Banana’s for Louise.
Cheeky is happy, finally he has her not bothering him anymore, as she is running away from the Monkey all the time.
Cheeky says : ”Ooo Hay the Noo ! Serve’s her right!”

Please try to stay polite in the comments. If someone doesn’t like a comment from someone else, just read it and continue with business as usual. I know not everything is comicrelated always but i remove the comments that are really too long or else there will be to much text in the comments at the frontpage. But i don’t mind a bit of chitchat.
You don’t have to read everything, you can pick what’s important for you and just ignore the rest.

Snail had been Cheeky’s faithful (but silent) slimy sidekick since issue 6 of Krazy in November 1976, but over two and a half years later our mollusc mate was elevated to become the star of his very own feature.
Snail of the Century was the last original strip to commence in Cheeky Weekly, making its debut in the edition dated 14 July 1979 and completing the comic’s ‘new look’ which had been initiated a week earlier.
It took him nearly 42 years to finally get his name SHEELdon.
In his new comic strip, which is called ”SHELLdon the Slimy one.”
He slithers here, there and everywhere.

Jack Clayton drew for Cheeky, Jackpot and Buster comic.
He did the wonderful joke page Hit the Jackpot!
Where so much detail was put in the backgrounds…that sometimes the backgrounds were funnier than the jokes.
He liked drawing little mice (Mickey types), cats, dogs and snails …small animals.
He was also great at drawing the over reaction the groan from a character. Almost falling backwards. Paddywack had this effect a lot.
His first work was in Cheeky late 70’s where the kids recreate a scene for there home video.
You can see how the kids did it with home made props and costumes. Again lots of funny details.
Paddywack came later in Cheeky and even became when the comics merged the cover star of Whoopee!!.
Jack Clayton is an artist from East London who has spent the last four years travelling.
His inspiration for his art work is drawn from his experiences around the world and a representation of his environment.
Jack Clayton was the artist of Paddywack. Irish cartoon character that was supposed to be drawn by Doodle Doug that use to bribe Cheeky to see his work or tell his Dad about his comics.
