Welcome on this blog full of information about British comics and offcourse the comics.
A British comic is a periodical published in the United Kingdom that contains comic strips. It is generally referred to as a comic or a comic magazine, and historically as a comic paper.
British comics are usually comics anthologies which are typically aimed at children, and are published weekly, although some are also published on a fortnightly or monthly schedule. The top three longest-running comics in the world, The Dandy, The Beano, and Comic Cuts, are all British, although in modern times British comics have been largely superseded by American comic books and Japanese manga.
You can access the information and comics through the sidebar.
The comics are mostly in packages from around 100mb, inside these rar-packages you will find the comics in cbr format.
There are no DC Thomson related comics on the site, because i had to remove these.
You can view the comics with any cbr-reader like CDisplay or ComicRack.
Most comics are from the 50’s-80’s with some 90’s.
I only place issues from last century,
so no issues newer than the year 1999.
I did not scan the comics myself only collect them from various sites on the internet, internet archive, Usenet Newsgroups and torrents.
So thanks to all the scanners and uploaders.
This blog is purely ment to preserve the comics and to enjoy them, no financial meanings are involved, if you like the comics buy them as long as they are availabe, because nothing can beat the feeling of reading a real comic.
If you find something wrong (downloads, numbering, information) please let me know so that i can correct the error.
Thanks to the following sites for the information :

Although Frank McDiarmid met Bob Paynter about three times in his life, fleetway’s group editor for a time, he was not the only editor with an artistic name [paynter, painter],
there was also Andy Artyart [ name is broken up in two parts Arty and Art]. It was a common practice of editors to give themselves artistic names, to boost the real cartoonists to achieve their best.

Summer 2018 and the economy is in freefall. with massive unemployement, food and energy prices soaring, fears aboiut mortgages, family budgets, credit card debt and job security … its hard to believe this is modern day britain!
The last time the country was in such a pickle was back in the 1970’s. Back then kids had little idea of financial worries. Youngsters had Comics to take their minds off the gloom and doom — Dc Thomson led the way with their staple titles of Beano, Dandy, Topper and Beezer — and up and coming Fleetway had a whole raft of titles : Buster, Monster Fun, Whoopee, Whizzer and Chips, Shiver and Shake, Cor! Krazy … and Cheeky.
Krazy Comic, launched in October 1976, has become a neat collectable, with its crazy stories and mocking of the ‘grown up’ — it was easier to forget the doom and gloom in the pages silly stories and characters in the paper.
Perhaps a little edgier than anything that had gone before, Krazy was a colourful weekly, with loopy guides and a ‘disguise’ on the back cover so the comic coulc be hidden, or read secretly in class and all manner of improbable scenarios.
The comic introduced us to characters such strip such as The 12 1/2 p Buytonic Boy, who had bought a tonic from a tramp and turned into a latter day ‘bionic’ boy …
Birdman and Chicken , a ‘Krazy’ version of Marvels ‘caped crusaders’ , magician Ray Presto, Handy Andy who was … well quite a useful sort … and of course The Krazy Gang – the lead strip.
Drawn originally by Ian Knox – the story featured a crew of Kids called Ed, Blue (who was actually a parrot). Liz , Sporty , Brainy , a weird flying alien ‘Freaky’ and of course the goofy punster himself , Cheeky.
Krazy Town was their home, and each story would have the Gang meeting various other characters.
Cheeky himself had his own strip (‘Ello Its Cheeky!’) which allowed the Character to show his puntastic charm and wit – and led him to become arguably the papers most prominent star.
Sadly , Krazy lasted just a whole eighteen months (continuing as an annual for several years until 1985) but as Cheeky had proved he had legs (and teeth) he was given his very own comic – Cheeky Weekly in October 1977.
Cheeky continued a similar theme as originated in Krazy , but losing the Gang (who went on to appear in their own weekly strip in whizzer and Chips).
How Cheeky managed to be in both comics is truly amazing, in one he wears his Jersey with a K ., and in the other he wears a Jersey with a C ., — it makes you wonder if he had a twin double or a cousin or something with the same name — just spelt different — one being Cheeky and the other Keechy — Ha ha!

This one of the following stories :
Yikky-Boo went Bowling with Walter Wurx, also with the rest of our Team of Cartoon Artists. [Terry Bave, Frank McDiarmid, Ian knox]
There was a tournament of 11 competitors in ten pin bowling, with the result, that Yikky-Boo being the ultimate winner!
It is not surprising, with his blood-curdling cry, that he frightened the bejabbers out of everyone.
Walter wurx was affected very badly, by the whole experience of ten pin Bowling, which is not surprising, considering, when there was a SPLIT in the game it remind him to split and go to the little room, also when there was a STRIKE, it reminded him to strike to run to you know where, also the same with a SPARE, he was reminded he cannot spare a moment to go do a tinkle, also when there was a GUTTER Ball, it remind him he had GUTTER [Go to] the Loo.
As for Gunga Jim and Emma Bunton, sparks flied between them, over the copyright of the expression ”SPICE UP YOUR LIFE”, Gunga Jim keep insisting that ”Spice up your Life”, originated from India with Herbs and Spices in Curry, he kept saying ; ”Curry, Curry Hot Stuff, it will SPICE UP YOUR LIFE.”
This funny scenario is one of the new story in the revived Cheeky Weekly.
Coming near you soon !!!

Yikky-Boo let out his Blood-curdling Cry and got 10 Lane STRIKES at one go in ten pin bowling.
Gunga Jim argued by saying : ”Curry Curry Hot Stuff, they are not STRIKES, as you shattered the Pins, SPLIT them to pieces, so they are all SPLITS!”
Walter Wurx was introduced to our chinese friend Bli Bli Bli bli Bloop, when he heard his name BLI BLI BLI BLOOP, it reminded him to go to the little room.

Other new Characters are as follows :
1] Akele Hum
2] Bud Bud Ding Ding
3] Woo Woo Choonga Choonga
———————————————————————————-
Akele Hum is famous for singing, he keeps HUM ”Akele”.
Bud Bud Ding Ding keeps saying ”Bud Bud” while he rings the bell Ding Ding.
As for Woo Woo Choonga Choonga, it sounds like a train to me, the ”Woo Woo” being the Siren sound after pulling a Cord on a Locomotive. The Choonga Choonga sounds like the wheels turning of the Locomotive Train.
