Welcome on this blog full of information about British comics and offcourse the comics.

A British comic is a periodical published in the United Kingdom that contains comic strips. It is generally referred to as a comic or a comic magazine, and historically as a comic paper.

British comics are usually comics anthologies which are typically aimed at children, and are published weekly, although some are also published on a fortnightly or monthly schedule. The top three longest-running comics in the world, The Dandy, The Beano, and Comic Cuts, are all British, although in modern times British comics have been largely superseded by American comic books and Japanese manga.

You can access the information and comics through the sidebar.
The comics are mostly in packages from around 100mb, inside these rar-packages you will find the comics in cbr format.dandare

There are no DC Thomson related comics on the site, because i had to remove these.

You can view the comics with any cbr-reader like CDisplay or ComicRack.

Most comics are from the 50’s-80’s with some 90’s.

I only place issues from last century,
so no issues newer than the year 1999.

I did not scan the comics myself only collect them from various sites on the internet, internet archive, Usenet Newsgroups and torrents.
So thanks to all the scanners and uploaders.

This blog is purely ment to preserve the comics and to enjoy them, no financial meanings are involved, if you like the comics buy them as long as they are availabe, because nothing can beat the feeling of reading a real comic.

If you find something wrong (downloads, numbering, information) please let me know so that i can correct the error.

Sorry anonymous if my talking about The Loch Ness Monster is going off the subject of Comics. Sometimes, what we are fond of, we talk about! I cannot help having so much affection of my Cousin Nessie.

Changing the subject to comics, Yikky-Boo went Bowling with Walter Wurx, also with the rest of our Team of Cartoon Artists.

We had great fun, with surprising results. We had a tournament of 11 competitors in ten pin bowling, with the result, that Yikky-Boo being the ultimate winner!

It is not surprising, with his blood-curdling cry, that he frightened the bejabbers out of everyone.

Walter wurx was affected very badly, by the whole experience of ten pin Bowling, which is not surprising, considering, when there was a SPLIT in the game it remind him to split and go to the little room, also when there was a STRIKE, it reminded him to strike to run to you know where, also the same with a SPARE, he was reminded he cannot spare a moment to go do a tinkle, also when there was a GUTTER Ball, it remind him he had GUTTER [Go to] the Loo.

As for Gunga Jim and Emma Bunton, sparks flied between them, over the copyright of the expression ”SPICE UP YOUR LIFE”, Gunga Jim keep insisting that ”Spice up your Life”, originated from India with Herbs and Spices in Curry, he kept saying ; ”Curry, Curry Hot Stuff, it will SPICE UP YOUR LIFE.”

You mentioned (all that fishing, cycling, photographing and kiting keeps me away from my work) . It is not a bad thing, it is good to relax and have fun in doing things one enjoys doing.

Just one question : What is KITING ?

We have so many funny members of staff with funny names, that we came out with an expression to say when we all feel stressed.

    It goes like this :

”Danga Boo Boo! Woonga Baga Lulu!

Bud Bud Ding Ding! Bli Bli Bli Bli Bloop!

    Yikky-Boo! Woo Woo Choonga Choonga!

    But I am okay!”

Akele Hum is famous for singing, he keeps HUM ”Akele”.

Bud Bud Ding Ding keeps saying ”Bud Bud” while he rings the bell Ding Ding.

As for Woo Woo Choonga Choonga, it sounds like a train to me, the ”Woo Woo” being the Siren sound after pulling a Cord on a Locomotive. The Choonga Choonga sounds like the wheels turning of the Locomotive Train.

Yikky-Boo let out his Blood-curdling Cry and got 10 Lane STRIKES at one go in ten pin bowling.

Gunga Jim argued by saying : ”Curry Curry Hot Stuff, they are not STRIKES, as you shattered the Pins, SPLIT them to pieces, so they are all SPLITS!”

Walter Wurx was introduced to our chinese friend Bli Bli Bli bli Bloop, when he heard his name BLI BLI BLI BLOOP, it reminded him to go to the little room.
