Welcome on this blog full of information about British comics and offcourse the comics.

A British comic is a periodical published in the United Kingdom that contains comic strips. It is generally referred to as a comic or a comic magazine, and historically as a comic paper.

British comics are usually comics anthologies which are typically aimed at children, and are published weekly, although some are also published on a fortnightly or monthly schedule. The top three longest-running comics in the world, The Dandy, The Beano, and Comic Cuts, are all British, although in modern times British comics have been largely superseded by American comic books and Japanese manga.

You can access the information and comics through the sidebar.
The comics are mostly in packages from around 100mb, inside these rar-packages you will find the comics in cbr format.dandare

There are no DC Thomson related comics on the site, because i had to remove these.

You can view the comics with any cbr-reader like CDisplay or ComicRack.

Most comics are from the 50’s-80’s with some 90’s.

I only place issues from last century,
so no issues newer than the year 1999.

I did not scan the comics myself only collect them from various sites on the internet, internet archive, Usenet Newsgroups and torrents.
So thanks to all the scanners and uploaders.

This blog is purely ment to preserve the comics and to enjoy them, no financial meanings are involved, if you like the comics buy them as long as they are availabe, because nothing can beat the feeling of reading a real comic.

If you find something wrong (downloads, numbering, information) please let me know so that i can correct the error.

Just to share where you can obtain some of the Cdo later issues. Though post millenium, some are reprints as usual.

Now that you have Lion Annual 1981, will mean in your collection you have all the following Annuals :

    Lion Annuals 1954-1964, 1966-1983.

This now means you only need 1965 Lion Annual to complete the Annuals.

Please note. Eagle Annual No, 6 first series, will not open fully.
I have tried several times and it only opens to page 141. Can this be rectified please.
Also I see that Eagle comic first series Volume 4 downloads are faded and not good readable copies. Can these possibly be re-scanned ?
Otherwise many thanks to all contributers, its a long walk down memory lane to my childhood of the 50’s. Fantastic Job to All !!!

I have no problem with the Annual, it loads all 175 pages with CDisplayEx and Comicrack. Perhaps something went wrong with downloading.

        Hi boutje777,
Cdisplay download bar does indicate 175 pages but will only open to p141.
ComicRack downloads all 175 pages, but p144 comes up as –
        ‘Failed to load
        Try refresh again’
Again thank you for a brilliant site, I am just giving you my download problem.
        Regards.

Thanks, i looked further this time, i only looked to load all pages but not inspect all pages. I can see now that page EA06p144 is corrupt, only thing to do is to extract the annual and remove this page, so you can at least read the rest. I will look out for an correct issue also.

Thank you for your reply. As regards to Eagle series one, unfortunately I have noticed that the download for Volumes 4 and 5 are rather out of shape and blurred, I hope that someone can download more clearer copies, please. It would mean a lot, as I read this comic (Eagle) as a boy.
Many thanks to all contributors, you are all doing a fine job.
            Kind regards to All…
