Welcome on this blog full of information about British comics and offcourse the comics.
A British comic is a periodical published in the United Kingdom that contains comic strips. It is generally referred to as a comic or a comic magazine, and historically as a comic paper.
British comics are usually comics anthologies which are typically aimed at children, and are published weekly, although some are also published on a fortnightly or monthly schedule. The top three longest-running comics in the world, The Dandy, The Beano, and Comic Cuts, are all British, although in modern times British comics have been largely superseded by American comic books and Japanese manga.
You can access the information and comics through the sidebar.
The comics are mostly in packages from around 100mb, inside these rar-packages you will find the comics in cbr format.
There are no DC Thomson related comics on the site, because i had to remove these.
You can view the comics with any cbr-reader like CDisplay or ComicRack.
Most comics are from the 50’s-80’s with some 90’s.
I only place issues from last century,
so no issues newer than the year 1999.
I did not scan the comics myself only collect them from various sites on the internet, internet archive, Usenet Newsgroups and torrents.
So thanks to all the scanners and uploaders.
This blog is purely ment to preserve the comics and to enjoy them, no financial meanings are involved, if you like the comics buy them as long as they are availabe, because nothing can beat the feeling of reading a real comic.
If you find something wrong (downloads, numbering, information) please let me know so that i can correct the error.
Thanks to the following sites for the information :

I had a look at your underground blog. Noticed you had Crazy Magazine.
I saw that you have only a few from the collection of 94 magazines.
The following numbers I believe you may want, that I now have :
2, 4-9, 14, 16-54, 56-59, 61, 62, 64, 65, 67-75, 77, 78, 80-82, 85, 87.
Would you like me to prepare them for you ?
You already have :
3, 10-13, 15, 60, 63, 83, 84, 86, 88-92.
This means after you will need only find :
1, 55, 66, 76, 79, 93, 94.
It means after I upload them to you, the ones I have, combined with yours already,
will mean you be only 7 issues missing from completion. Not bad.
Give me a couple of days to prepare them.

I would just like to congratulate you on the work you do on this site. I appreciate the effort that you put into it on a regular basis.
I was born in 1971 and caught the tale end of the British comic industry. I collected in drabs some of the marvel weeklies, Speed, Tiger, Battle, Eagle, Tornado, 2000ad, buddy, warlord, victor, roy of the rovers, buster. Battle & Eagle being my favourites. I think Doomlord 12,3 would make brilliant movies. Keep up the good work.

I once had a friend who was a Painter and he had disappeared! Gone! In fact you
can say he VARNISHED without a trace. He did’nt have a STAIN on his Character!
That is a Joke that Frank Mcdiarmid told me. Ha ha!

Even the mighty Frank McDiarmid couldn’t be expected to deliver a whole Cheeky’s Week every issue so, as we have seen, a number of other artists stood in from time to time.
While Frank was drawing Cheeky’s escapades in Cheeky Weekly, he also drew 44 Cheeky pages in Krazy comic during the 26 weeks that Cheeky Weekly and Krazy shared space on the newsagents’ shelves.

Talking of Krazy, frank Mcdiarmid is driving me mad as usual with all his jokes.
I really do not understand how he can be so funny all the time.
It is a Disaster Des at work again through Frank.

I think another good idea, eventually, if you have time, or when you have time,
is to make a separate page of all Ipc Annuals together alphabetically of course,
also the Ipc Specials together alphabetically.
It be nice to be able to see them all separate from the individual comics. It be easier for people searching for Annuals and Specials separately from the Comics.
This is also because while you have Complete Comics as you mention, not all are complete with the Annuals and Specials on those pages. This causes a little confusion.
It be nice to see Complete Annuals and Complete Specials mention on there individual
pages too.
What do you think of this as potential idea ?

Thanks for the input, could be a good idea in the future, right now i have alot of other priorities, but it’s in my long term notebook.
I can make a note at the pages where the annuals and specials are not completed, as i did on some allready. But i have to check out how many annuals and specials the titles have that are completed with the regular issues.

Okay. I know what it means to have priorities. It is hard sometimes to do all we like to do, but having interests of doing things like comics is refreshing and quite relaxing when you feel accomplishment in achieving your goal.
It s good to hear that your in Sync with my thinking and that you will eventually do this. It is a very good idea, it will make a lot of people happy. You will see the results
later, when people will flood you with more comments of praise.
Thank you once more in the great work your doing in preserving British History. It really is a great achievement the work your doing. The best comic blogs ever.

Hi, question, like you made the exception to the rule in connection with The Beezer Specials, because it was close to 2000, when the Specials ended in 2002,
would the same rule apply to The Beezer Annuals which ended in 2003. I have all the Annuals. So would you be interested for The Beezer Annuals 2000-2003, to put on
my to do list for later ?

Yes, thanks that will be a very good exception to me.
