Welcome on this blog full of information about British comics and offcourse the comics.
A British comic is a periodical published in the United Kingdom that contains comic strips. It is generally referred to as a comic or a comic magazine, and historically as a comic paper.
British comics are usually comics anthologies which are typically aimed at children, and are published weekly, although some are also published on a fortnightly or monthly schedule. The top three longest-running comics in the world, The Dandy, The Beano, and Comic Cuts, are all British, although in modern times British comics have been largely superseded by American comic books and Japanese manga.
You can access the information and comics through the sidebar.
The comics are mostly in packages from around 100mb, inside these rar-packages you will find the comics in cbr format.
There are no DC Thomson related comics on the site, because i had to remove these.
You can view the comics with any cbr-reader like CDisplay or ComicRack.
Most comics are from the 50’s-80’s with some 90’s.
I only place issues from last century,
so no issues newer than the year 1999.
I did not scan the comics myself only collect them from various sites on the internet, internet archive, Usenet Newsgroups and torrents.
So thanks to all the scanners and uploaders.
This blog is purely ment to preserve the comics and to enjoy them, no financial meanings are involved, if you like the comics buy them as long as they are availabe, because nothing can beat the feeling of reading a real comic.
If you find something wrong (downloads, numbering, information) please let me know so that i can correct the error.
Thanks to the following sites for the information :

I thank you.

Can someone help with these 2 issues Wizard from DC Thomson 1970 series. because it got mixed up with the earlier 2 Wizard story papers. Or perhaps these issues weren’t published ? Because it has to be 435 issues according to GCD, but the numbering continues until 437.
These are the issues :
54 from 1971-02-20
86 from 1971-10-02
That will make this title complete.

FYI
I believe Hornet (648 issues) is also complete.
Initially I couldn’t find issue 481 which was the only missing issue. However, I later discovered there were 2 issues numbered 48 and one of them turned out to be the missing issue 481 (included in the update on 28-09-2016)

Hi boutje, Ian Knox and Myself Frank McDiarmid have been experimenting with dropbox,
thanks to Andy and he has fixed his problem by recreating a new Dropbox again. The
good news, is in the future after a lot of preparation first between the three of us, you
will in time have a lot more comics, annuals and specials and date and numbering guides, to come your way. We are working really hard behind the scenes. Just one suggestion, could you make a link with all the date and numbering guides previously sent to you, as we lost them all, and need to retrieve them again, for our preparation work. Thanks in advance.

Thank you very much for saving the date and numbering Guides, Ian Knox just sent them to me. Fixed my dropbox once more. In future Ian Knox and Frank McDiarmid will
also send you comics too. It is really hard word. I am really impressed how you keep it going. Your really doing a great job. I will rest for awhile, as I have not been feeling well,
but it is good to know that Ian knox and Frank McDiarmid will continue to upload you more comics, after I am gone.

Okay! I am sure you will surprise with another great marathon of comics. It is so hard to keep up with it all. I really do not understand how you manage to keep so busy, without seeming to get tired. If you do get tired, rest a bit too. We can all wait. You really spoiling everyone. Your really doing a great job in reorganizing complete comics. I like when you say near the top this section or comics completed. Some issues do miss a few pages, even though you have all the comics, like for example cheeky weekly. Monster Fun is complete except for one annual. Keep up the good work. Did Ian send you some more Shiver and Shakes. They are not complete comics, but better to have part then none at all. Kazoop! blogspot has various pages from Shiver and Shake, Monster Fun and Buster, with hard work you can gather some various pages and put them in folders until each comic is complete. Some pages are known by number, but some are not, but date of comic is known. For the Shiver and Shake Comics, if you compare some complete comics that you have, you
may be able to figure out what those page numbers are, as most strips always fell on the same page week by week, with a few exceptions. Hope this information will help you. As respects the rest of the Knockout Comics Ipc version, even though I have the rest of the numbers that you do not have, they are not complete, like shiver and shake, but page numbers are known for them all. I will prepare them for you soon. Sory in the delay. I was wondering what to do, as I thought they were complete, to
my disappointment, but better to have comics even part then none at all.

Thanks. Speaking about marathons, sunday over 1 week is marathonday here. I’m not walking it, but when i feel good and the weather is fine i always try to keep up with it on my bicycle. The best athletes are always way ahead of me, i can’t keep up with them, usually i can do it in around 4 hours or so on a normal citybike.
I do have too much energy and work real fast, that got me in trouble sometimes with my co-workers at different jobs, i did the same work sometimes 3 or 4 times faster as they, they said it makes us look like we work slow that way, but i said, i can’t work slower, sorry, i am not going to stress myself with working slow because others can’t follow my speed of working.
I know about the incomplete comics, i always try to replace an incomplete with a complete one whenever i find or get one.

So Hotspur is nearly finish with only 7 more issues, you need issues 1111-1117
to complete the second series of hotspur. However, I am not sure which 2 issues amonst the 1110 issues that you have were from the first series, when I open them, I noticed it said 1933. I let you know when I check again.

I am not sure about the Hotspur 1111-1117, this is what Jacko said in a comment.
Hotspur issues 1101-1110 were already on Part 1 of the Hotspur page (near the bottom).
Also, I do not believe Hotspur issues 1111-1117 exist.
Page 9 of Hotspur #1110 (dated 24-01-1981) refers to a merger between Victor and Hotspur. Stories in this issue either came to complete end or continued in Victor & Hotspur the following week.
The numbering continued in Victor. The first combined issue of Victor & Hotspur was #1042 (dated 07-02-1981) and went on sale on 31-01-1981.
Therefore, I believe that Hotspur #1110 was the final issue.

I think i’m gonna reorganize Buster also after the next update, just like Tiger. Not because they are complete but i will make different pages for the decades for these (like 60’s 70’s 80’s) and make packets of the years in sequence on this subpages. So it’s easier to see what’s missing also.

That be good to see it more organized. I guess the date and numbering Guide for Buster will help you, that Andy provided to do that. Unfortunately Andy passed away due to health problems with his heart, so he will not continue to supply comics or date and numbering Guides, but, he left me his complete collectionof over 9 million comics annuals and specials and date and numbering guides that he prepared. I will work hard with Ian Knox to fulfill his wishes to continue to make everyone happy. Also he wrote a book to publish this year about time travel, it really is amazing, it will be a best seller and be made into a movie in two years from now. He authorized someone in his family to publish the book in his memory.
