Welcome on this blog full of information about British comics and offcourse the comics.
A British comic is a periodical published in the United Kingdom that contains comic strips. It is generally referred to as a comic or a comic magazine, and historically as a comic paper.
British comics are usually comics anthologies which are typically aimed at children, and are published weekly, although some are also published on a fortnightly or monthly schedule. The top three longest-running comics in the world, The Dandy, The Beano, and Comic Cuts, are all British, although in modern times British comics have been largely superseded by American comic books and Japanese manga.
You can access the information and comics through the sidebar.
The comics are mostly in packages from around 100mb, inside these rar-packages you will find the comics in cbr format.
There are no DC Thomson related comics on the site, because i had to remove these.
You can view the comics with any cbr-reader like CDisplay or ComicRack.
Most comics are from the 50’s-80’s with some 90’s.
I only place issues from last century,
so no issues newer than the year 1999.
I did not scan the comics myself only collect them from various sites on the internet, internet archive, Usenet Newsgroups and torrents.
So thanks to all the scanners and uploaders.
This blog is purely ment to preserve the comics and to enjoy them, no financial meanings are involved, if you like the comics buy them as long as they are availabe, because nothing can beat the feeling of reading a real comic.
If you find something wrong (downloads, numbering, information) please let me know so that i can correct the error.
Thanks to the following sites for the information :

Re: Issues 78, 79, 84, 103, 116, 122 of Scorcher.
I will be able to provide these if someone can give me the step by step ‘idiots guide’ on how to do this as I have never done this before.

Sign up to mediafire = https://www.mediafire.com/
It’s easy to use and you get 50gb of free storage
Also download 7_zip = https://www.7-zip.org/ to .RAR your comics
Then just copy the comics you want to upload into a new folder ( call the folder ‘Jackoscorcher for instance ) right click on the folder and choose “7-Zip” then “Add to archive” and click “OK”
After it has been archived ( only takes a few seconds ) go to your mediafire page and click “upload” at the top of the page, then “Computer” then click on the big cross in the empty box … navigate to where your jackoscorcher.7z file is and then click “Begin Upload”.
Once it’s uploaded just right click on the file to “copy URL” or simple left click to open the download page and copy the URL from there.
Good luck Jacko

For anyone (like myself) looking to have a complete run of Scorcher.
I have managed to check all of the issues currently on the Scorcher page (nearly 200 issues) and I am afraid I have found a number of incomplete issues. It makes for very depressing news.
Issue 008 [1970-02-28] is missing 2 pages (incomplete ‘Bobby of the Blues’ story)
Issue 015 [1970-04-18] is missing 2 pages (incomplete ‘Byrd of Paradise Hill’ story)
Issue 035 [1970-09-05] is missing 2 pages (incomplete ‘The East Mound Mob’ story)
Issue 064 [1971-03-27] is missing 2 pages (incomplete ‘The Amazing Strollers’ story)
Issue 126 [1972-06-03] is missing 4 pages (incomplete ‘The Forward Who Went Back’ story and missing ‘Soccer-Nauts’ story)
Issue 197 [1973-10-13] is missing 2 pages (incomplete ‘Bobby of the Blues’ story).
Plus the two I spotted earlier today, i.e.
Issue 107 [1972-01-22] is missing 2 pages (incomplete ‘Spy Between The Sticks’ story).
Issue 108 [1972-01-29] is missing 1 page (incomplete ‘Jimmy of City’ story).
That makes 8 incomplete issues of Scorcher, so far.
Hopefully somebody can help to replace these with the completed issues before I need therapy.

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some help in tracking down a comic or series but just to make it interesting I don’t know the name, year or publisher
I vaguely remember a comic from the early seventies featuring a blonde or redheaded barbarian hero with a moustache. The only thing I remember clearly is a cover where the hero is up to his neck in water and surrounded by hungry crabs.
I don’t think that it was an anthology series because I can remember getting it regularly featuring this hero.It definitely wasn’t Conan,Tarzan or Korak, and it definitely wasn’t an american import as we didn’t get those regularly over here (NI) until late seventies or early eighties.
Hopefully someone can help
Many thanks

Hi again,
I just found out details of this from
http://lewstringer.blogspot.co.uk/2007/11/comic-oddities-tarkan.html
This article and the GCD led me to find the issue I remembered (no 26 of the german print which was reprinted into english). While it’s not supposed to be very good I would still like to see it again so if anyone could help.
Tarkan published by Simavi publishing ltd. – 34 british issues / 100 german issues
Again many thanks in advance

Thanks folks, that’s brilliant – unfortunately I can’t read German but not having read them in 45 years I can wait a few more weeks until I get around to translating them.
Again many thanks.All the best,Shea

I think it may be Tintin, as there was a book connected with Tintin and Crabs, I don’t remember the title of hand but it definitely had Crab in the title. I actually have this book. I check and find out the title and let you know later and if your interested in it, Ican make a link for you. Do you have Dropbox, as that be the only way I could share it.

Marvel issued a “Super Special” comic book adaptation of “Blade Runner” In September 1982.
This was quickly followed by a two-part reissue of the comic during October and November of that year.
Here is the complete trio!
