Welcome on this blog full of information about British comics and offcourse the comics.
A British comic is a periodical published in the United Kingdom that contains comic strips. It is generally referred to as a comic or a comic magazine, and historically as a comic paper.
British comics are usually comics anthologies which are typically aimed at children, and are published weekly, although some are also published on a fortnightly or monthly schedule. The top three longest-running comics in the world, The Dandy, The Beano, and Comic Cuts, are all British, although in modern times British comics have been largely superseded by American comic books and Japanese manga.
You can access the information and comics through the sidebar.
The comics are mostly in packages from around 100mb, inside these rar-packages you will find the comics in cbr format.
There are no DC Thomson related comics on the site, because i had to remove these.
You can view the comics with any cbr-reader like CDisplay or ComicRack.
Most comics are from the 50’s-80’s with some 90’s.
I only place issues from last century,
so no issues newer than the year 1999.
I did not scan the comics myself only collect them from various sites on the internet, internet archive, Usenet Newsgroups and torrents.
So thanks to all the scanners and uploaders.
This blog is purely ment to preserve the comics and to enjoy them, no financial meanings are involved, if you like the comics buy them as long as they are availabe, because nothing can beat the feeling of reading a real comic.
If you find something wrong (downloads, numbering, information) please let me know so that i can correct the error.
Thanks to the following sites for the information :

I just calculated from the 44 comics and the 23 comics that you have of knockout 2nd series will bring you to 67 comics. I checked again my collection and found I have another 39 from the second series that you do not have, which means after prepare and send another day, it will give 106 comics from the second series with only one missing. When I work out which number it is, I will let you know. Well I guess that will be a Knockout in completing the collection.

I have also discovered that the following issues of Lion are incomplete or broken scans :
Lion 0572 (1963-03-23)
Lion 0682 (1965-05-01)
Lion 0723 (1966-02-12)
Lion 1111 (1973-10-20)
It would be great if these could be replaced with complete scans

When it comes to comics from my childhood which I thought I had lost forever, in particular, Victor, Valiant, Lion, Thunder, Wizard, Score n Roar and Scorcher, it is an absolute joy to see they are now turning up again.
Apologies if you have already received this comment.
I previously thought it would be an impossible task. And then it happened. It appeared that Victor and Valiant had been completed.
However, I now believe that Victor may not be complete.
Victor 1093 (from the ukvictor17 download) is actually Victor 1095 (1982-02-13).
Victor 1093 should have the date 1982-01-30. Therefore, Victor 1093 still appears to be missing.
Also, I have discovered missing pages from the following issues of Victor and Valiant:
Victor 0376 (1968-05-04) – page 32 is missing (Back page – war story continued from front page).
Victor 0418 (1969-02-22) – pages 21 and 22 are missing (Rough, Tough Miles of Alf Tupper story).
Victor 0648 (1973-07-21) – page 29 is missing (Rogan of the Rocket Troop story).
Victor 1115 (1982-07-03) – page 22 is missing (Kid Clout Tennis Ace story).
Valiant 012 (1962-12-22) – pages 31 is missing (Jack O’Justice story)
Valiant 021 (1963-02-23) – pages 17 & 18 are missing (not sure if this is a 3-page Steel Claw story as page 2 does not have the “Don’t Miss Next Week” at the bottom of the page).
Valiant 071 (1964-02-08) – torn corner on page 27 (Jack O’Justice story)
Valiant 332 (1969-02-08) – page 16 is missing (Raven on the Wing story).
Can anyone help to complete these treasures from the past.
However, if I am being too fussy about the odd missing page, please tell me.

Thanks, i will look into this and try to make the incomplete issues complete (with the help of others offcourse). No fuss at all, i always try to upload complete issues, but sometimes i think, it’s better to have an incomplete issue than none when i don’t find a complete one.
I believe Victor 1093 somehow is merged with 1095, because it has twice as much pages. It’s strange anyhow because on the cover i read 1093, or it must be my eyes, but the date is the same and the cover also. Maybe someone changed the number on the cover.

Thanks and I agree it is better to have an incomplete issue than no issue at all.

The current scan of Victor 1093 has twice as many pages because apart from the front and back covers every page has been scanned twice over. So, I don’t think it has been merged with Victor 1095
The actual scan of Victor 1095 is much clearer and you can clearly make our the issue number and the date.
Either way I still believe there is an issue of Victor missing with the date 1982-01-30.

I agree, i hope someone has a correct issue 1093 and will upload it.

I have noticed that Score ‘n’ Roar listed as issue 22 (1971-02-13) is actually Score ‘n’ Roar issue 23 (1971-02-20). Therefore, I believe that Score ‘n’ Roar issue 22 is still missing.
This is the only issue remaining for this short run series (41 issues in total).
Can anyone help to complete this gem from the past.
