Welcome on this blog full of information about British comics and offcourse the comics.
A British comic is a periodical published in the United Kingdom that contains comic strips. It is generally referred to as a comic or a comic magazine, and historically as a comic paper.
British comics are usually comics anthologies which are typically aimed at children, and are published weekly, although some are also published on a fortnightly or monthly schedule. The top three longest-running comics in the world, The Dandy, The Beano, and Comic Cuts, are all British, although in modern times British comics have been largely superseded by American comic books and Japanese manga.
You can access the information and comics through the sidebar.
The comics are mostly in packages from around 100mb, inside these rar-packages you will find the comics in cbr format.
There are no DC Thomson related comics on the site, because i had to remove these.
You can view the comics with any cbr-reader like CDisplay or ComicRack.
Most comics are from the 50’s-80’s with some 90’s.
I only place issues from last century,
so no issues newer than the year 1999.
I did not scan the comics myself only collect them from various sites on the internet, internet archive, Usenet Newsgroups and torrents.
So thanks to all the scanners and uploaders.
This blog is purely ment to preserve the comics and to enjoy them, no financial meanings are involved, if you like the comics buy them as long as they are availabe, because nothing can beat the feeling of reading a real comic.
If you find something wrong (downloads, numbering, information) please let me know so that i can correct the error.
Thanks to the following sites for the information :

Hello. I am afraid it’s siterelated, someone else had troubles with Mediafire and tried it with his laptop and then it worked. I can’t acces Mega with some browsers while Internet Explorer works fine for me. Sometimes one day everything is working fine and some other day i can’t download anything. The same goes for uploading. So i am afraid i can’t be of much help. Maybe someone else can.

So the site itself is the issue being somewhat temperamental? I appreciate the reply. I love the site you have. I am an American but have become very fascinated with the British material especially the black and white material. I found this accidentally loking for Room 222 comics to download for a friend. He’s been hitting the site a great deal, too.

Horror and Mystery Comics
I am preparing a blog with Western Comics and also working on a blog with newspaper comics. Classics like Buck Rogers, Gasoline Alley, Katzenjammer Kids, Little Orphan Annie, Mandrake, Peanuts, Spirit, and a lot of other well known and not so well known titles. There are almost 400 titles to have on this blog.
Unfortunately i had to cancel the special christmas comics blog because it is to time consuming to search all comics for christmas stories and titles and prepare them in a decent way. Perhaps next year when all my other blogs are up and running and i have more time searching these titles.

Hi again. I’m still working on my recovery of books, but thought I let you know how it’s going. I’m checking out the British strips now. I’ve never done much with British books because the individual characters were always in very short stories compared with the ones in the USA.
The one British series (maybe two or three) I would be interested in seeing is the Fleetwood Thriller Library (mainly the ones adapted from novels and books like Classics Illustrated in the US). Another would be A CLASSIC IN PICTURES (12 issues in 1949 ?)
I have alway liked CLASSICS ILLUSTRATED and like to get scans of similar series printed in other countries and try to translate them using a translation app online.

Hello. It’s good to read the recovery of your books is going well. I can’t help you much with the Fleetwood and A classic in pictures titles, perhaps someone else that reads this can help you out with it. Good luck with the further recovery of your books.
