Welcome on this blog full of information about British comics and offcourse the comics.

A British comic is a periodical published in the United Kingdom that contains comic strips. It is generally referred to as a comic or a comic magazine, and historically as a comic paper.

British comics are usually comics anthologies which are typically aimed at children, and are published weekly, although some are also published on a fortnightly or monthly schedule. The top three longest-running comics in the world, The Dandy, The Beano, and Comic Cuts, are all British, although in modern times British comics have been largely superseded by American comic books and Japanese manga.

You can access the information and comics through the sidebar.
The comics are mostly in packages from around 100mb, inside these rar-packages you will find the comics in cbr format.dandare

There are no DC Thomson related comics on the site, because i had to remove these.

You can view the comics with any cbr-reader like CDisplay or ComicRack.

Most comics are from the 50’s-80’s with some 90’s.

I only place issues from last century,
so no issues newer than the year 1999.

I did not scan the comics myself only collect them from various sites on the internet, internet archive, Usenet Newsgroups and torrents.
So thanks to all the scanners and uploaders.

This blog is purely ment to preserve the comics and to enjoy them, no financial meanings are involved, if you like the comics buy them as long as they are availabe, because nothing can beat the feeling of reading a real comic.

If you find something wrong (downloads, numbering, information) please let me know so that i can correct the error.

I am looking for Treasure Comic / Magazine, published by Fleetway Publications from 19 January 1963 to 16 January 1971. Are there any copies on the page, or is it one of those which had to be withdrawn due to copyright issues?

    Merry and Bright 10/11/28 (partial)
    Merry and Bright 03/05/30 (partial)
    Merry and Bright 29/07/33

Merry and Bright was a grab-bag comic published by Amalgamated Press from 1910 to 1935. It was edited by Fred Cordwell, but don’t panic, these issues are music hall-free. Partials aren’t mine, credit to the original scanners even if they didn’t bother with the text stories, the swine.

I know it’s not on the site, and not sure if it’s a fleetly publication or not.
But wondered if yourself or anyone else who comments may be able to help. I’m looking for a Pippin annual from 1980 (the one with a snowman on the front)
I had this growing up and would love to see it again

The 1971 SF is dreadful, scan quality wise. The copy was in poor condition and that added to those ****ing block-colour bleed areas basically mean I’ve given up on the edit as being not worth a salvage effort until I get a better original. I’ve uploaded it on the grounds it’s narrowly better than nothing, to get it out of my in-tray, to stop me wasting time and as a reminder that different sellers have different definitions of ‘acceptable’.

Perhaps this may help, copy of Schoolfriend 1971, bit better then the one up loaded earlier. Not my scan, as it’s only 200 Dpi.

I prefer to scan full size, 300/360/400 Dpi, depending on the colours, text, etc.

Fantastic site, Boutje. Keep up the good work. Respect to all the Scanners & uploader.

    Regards “The Highwayman”.

The latest update is fantastic. The icing on the cake for me was the inclusion of some more Alan Class comics (Sinister Tales). The force is strong in you, my young padawan.
