Welcome on this blog full of information about British comics and offcourse the comics.

A British comic is a periodical published in the United Kingdom that contains comic strips. It is generally referred to as a comic or a comic magazine, and historically as a comic paper.

British comics are usually comics anthologies which are typically aimed at children, and are published weekly, although some are also published on a fortnightly or monthly schedule. The top three longest-running comics in the world, The Dandy, The Beano, and Comic Cuts, are all British, although in modern times British comics have been largely superseded by American comic books and Japanese manga.

You can access the information and comics through the sidebar.
The comics are mostly in packages from around 100mb, inside these rar-packages you will find the comics in cbr format.dandare

There are no DC Thomson related comics on the site, because i had to remove these.

You can view the comics with any cbr-reader like CDisplay or ComicRack.

Most comics are from the 50’s-80’s with some 90’s.

I only place issues from last century,
so no issues newer than the year 1999.

I did not scan the comics myself only collect them from various sites on the internet, internet archive, Usenet Newsgroups and torrents.
So thanks to all the scanners and uploaders.

This blog is purely ment to preserve the comics and to enjoy them, no financial meanings are involved, if you like the comics buy them as long as they are availabe, because nothing can beat the feeling of reading a real comic.

If you find something wrong (downloads, numbering, information) please let me know so that i can correct the error.

Just a reminder concerning Google Drive.

Write down the error you get and find a solution on the net or in a comment, 99 out of 100 you can solve the problem but you have to do some work for it. I can’t give solutions because the reason can be various and is user related. I never have problems with Google Drive, not with uploading and not with downloading, and i download alot from Google Drive.

    Just a little something.
It may seem unpolite to not answer questions about not being able to download from Google Drive, and from other blogs also Stack. There is so much said about this allready and most of the time the problem can be solved with a little efford if you take the time to find a solution. The same goes for not being able to read the comics. I can’t help in any way with downloadproblems or not being able to read the comics, only when a file is deleted or corrupt i can do something about it or look into that matter. Sometimes even people saying to use other servers because they can’t download. Keep in mind that this is a free service and i allready invest in 6 payed accounts to store all my files. I don’t mind to invest but for now these 6 are sufficient for my needs. I can see that most files are downloaded 200+ times, files that are longer stored sometimes even 700+, so you CAN download them. And keep also in mind that people are buying issues and scan them and have to invest money and time. I don’t need thank you’s all the time, but it would be polite to say thank you for all labour that scanners put into it instead of only making comments when something is not going the way you want it to be.

I had a little moan about Google a few days ago, but after your last comment, I now feel ashamed. I didn’t realise all the work you put into this site, Google is working fine now.Trouble with me I get so excited and inpatient about the downloads. Hope you accept my apology, and thank you again for all your work.

Thanks for the comment. It’s nothing personal, no need for apologizes.
Sometimes i find alot of comments with people complaining and feel the need to explain some things. Alot of complaining comments are not even visible for everyone because they used languages that are not suitable to be placed in a comment.

    Hi all,

I’ve been pulling down collection of Buster comics from the 90s and there are a small handful missing – https://britishcomics.wordpress.com/2021/03/17/buster-90s

Does anyone happen to have copies of the following?

    1990-07-21
    1991-03-02
    1991-09-14
    1994-01-01
    1994-12-23
    1994-12-30

It could be the case that these were never printed but that would be good to confirm.

    Thanks
