Welcome on this blog full of information about British comics and offcourse the comics.
A British comic is a periodical published in the United Kingdom that contains comic strips. It is generally referred to as a comic or a comic magazine, and historically as a comic paper.
British comics are usually comics anthologies which are typically aimed at children, and are published weekly, although some are also published on a fortnightly or monthly schedule. The top three longest-running comics in the world, The Dandy, The Beano, and Comic Cuts, are all British, although in modern times British comics have been largely superseded by American comic books and Japanese manga.
You can access the information and comics through the sidebar.
The comics are mostly in packages from around 100mb, inside these rar-packages you will find the comics in cbr format.
There are no DC Thomson related comics on the site, because i had to remove these.
You can view the comics with any cbr-reader like CDisplay or ComicRack.
Most comics are from the 50’s-80’s with some 90’s.
I only place issues from last century,
so no issues newer than the year 1999.
I did not scan the comics myself only collect them from various sites on the internet, internet archive, Usenet Newsgroups and torrents.
So thanks to all the scanners and uploaders.
This blog is purely ment to preserve the comics and to enjoy them, no financial meanings are involved, if you like the comics buy them as long as they are availabe, because nothing can beat the feeling of reading a real comic.
If you find something wrong (downloads, numbering, information) please let me know so that i can correct the error.
Thanks to the following sites for the information :

Here is a link for a Comic called Money Fun.
This comic is all about saving money in a National Savings bank. Quite funny seeing all the propaganda. Also a lot of the pages seem to hark back to the early 1920’s…30’s..40’s..50’s in style and characters. Denis Grifford who designed and produced this who loves and collected old comics…look at the Kiss of Life by Brian Walker with the old Chips, Jester and Joker comic charactrs coming to life.
Anyone know anything more about any of the artists … Graham Webb, Jim Baikie and Chas the comic artist? or more info about Money Fun the comic..
DG stands for Denis Gifford who wrote it.
There was only ever 2 issues of Money Fun. Also quite a gap between each issue.

I can’t imagine they would have put Leo Baxendale’s name on the Cash Street Kids strip if it wasn’t by him.

another Wham issue and it does not require the Eagle Eye story to be merged although Lee may feel he can improve it a bit.
Hopefully a few more tomorrow.

Thanks Leegs
Pretty sure all subscribers to this site will appreciate your work as they have with Lee.
Got a few more to load in a day or so which require the same treatment.
Be interested to know how to merge the 2 pages into one to save others doing it.
Thanks
Rob

Here are upgrades to first two School Fun Comics
School Fun 01 [1983-10-15] [UG] (gift included)
Number 1 has 2 covers, one shows gift attached to cover and the other without gift attached
School Fun 02 [1983-10-22] [UG]
Also have upgrade to Krazy Comic 17,
found 3 more missing pages, added them inside with correct page numbers,
however there are still a lot of pages missing, it should be a 32 page comic , not 20 pages
Hopefully someone else will find a complete comic later
Krazy 17 [1977-02-05] [UG]

I decided to not use the upgrades you and your team make anymore because most of them are just whitened instead of your own scans, and i can’t see much difference otherwise. It takes me too much time to check and process all these upgrades every time. And i don’t think it’s right to alter scans without the original scanner knows about it. Offcourse that goes not for upgrades with added pages or damaged pages replaced or when the scanner himself asks for adjustments in a comment.
Sorry for your work but now you know that you don’t have to put time in these upgrades anymore.

Thank you very much, i appreciate your upgrade as always since they are your own scans and are really an improvement.

Yes, a tricky one this isn’t it as we all have different preferences. Personally, I don’t really see any appeal in the ‘whitened’ versions as they look artificial to me. The original ‘off white’ colour of the original pages is more preferable, as they are more authentic and they do more for my own sense of nostalgia. But a higher dpi resolution scan – that’s something else entirely and I will always download those kinds of upgrades 🙂 🙂

Rob your natural scans look good (although for some reason the pages differ greatly in size and therefore quality). I guess some are done on a smaller scanner which cuts out the edges of the art.

Yeah i was aware and was a bit dubious about posting them but in the end felt it was better eveyone can access that until better scans become available.
