Welcome on this blog full of information about British comics and offcourse the comics.
A British comic is a periodical published in the United Kingdom that contains comic strips. It is generally referred to as a comic or a comic magazine, and historically as a comic paper.
British comics are usually comics anthologies which are typically aimed at children, and are published weekly, although some are also published on a fortnightly or monthly schedule. The top three longest-running comics in the world, The Dandy, The Beano, and Comic Cuts, are all British, although in modern times British comics have been largely superseded by American comic books and Japanese manga.
You can access the information and comics through the sidebar.
The comics are mostly in packages from around 100mb, inside these rar-packages you will find the comics in cbr format.
There are no DC Thomson related comics on the site, because i had to remove these.
You can view the comics with any cbr-reader like CDisplay or ComicRack.
Most comics are from the 50’s-80’s with some 90’s.
I only place issues from last century,
so no issues newer than the year 1999.
I did not scan the comics myself only collect them from various sites on the internet, internet archive, Usenet Newsgroups and torrents.
So thanks to all the scanners and uploaders.
This blog is purely ment to preserve the comics and to enjoy them, no financial meanings are involved, if you like the comics buy them as long as they are availabe, because nothing can beat the feeling of reading a real comic.
If you find something wrong (downloads, numbering, information) please let me know so that i can correct the error.
Thanks to the following sites for the information :

Here’s an upgrade to POTA 11 – https://www.dropbox.com/s/0k50qh0dwxsmw3e/PotAUK011.cbz?dl=0
I picked up a batch of old POTA at a comic mart but POTA 11 did not have a cover so merged with another scan that had the apes stories only. Therefore, the scan has page 35 missing which was probably an in-house advert.
I have the following POTA which have not been upgraded – 20, 30, 88, 109 and 110, so I’ll aim to get these scanned over the next few weeks.

GAZ here is that missing page

and here are complete issues of #20, #30 & #88

The list I gave you earlier is correct. it’s just that not all the complete POTA issues have been uploaded to Boutje’s site yet.
I have all complete issues of Planet of the Apes except
#58 only 15 pages
#59 only 11 pages
#60 only 13 pages
#61 only 14 pages
#72 only 16 pages
#97 only 17 pages
#110 only 15 pages
#113 only 15 pages
#114 only 18 pages
#115 only 18 pages
#116 only 16 pages
#118 only 16 pages
If you have any other missing issues GAZ, let me know and I’ll upload them for you

Cheers, Gaz. I’ll get on with scanning ‘Forces in Combat’ and ‘The Mighty Thor’ …I’ve also got a few Marvel UK Annuals from the 70s to do as well.
One of them is the final Marvel Super-Heroes Annual from 1980

Hi Lee
Can you help with these issues of POTA:
#16 is missing pg8 from POTA strip + pg31 from ‘The Day After the Day the Martians Came’ strip.
#43 is missing pg34 from Captain Marvel strip.
#70 is missing pg25 from Ka-Zar strip.
#76 is missing pg30 & pg31 from Black Panther strip.
[pg14 & pg15 are duplicated in this issue]
#101 is missing pg12 & pg13 from Ka-Zar strip.

I’m afraid not, Jacko. I only meant that a lot of the issues only contained the POTA stories and we now have nearly all of them (bar the 12 issues I listed)
Missing pages/duplicates etc will have to wait until we finally get all the UK marvels scanned – then we can start concentrating on those.

Are there any older titles that anyone can recommend that show the future?
I’m looking for Science or Horror.
For example, a comic published in the 1940s will have a story that shows a date of 2000 and their depiction of what the future will look like.

If you haven’t actually checked here on Boutje’s site, then I would suggest starting with the Alan Class section of comics.
Practically all the comics he produced were about the future in one way or another!
