Welcome on this blog full of information about British comics and offcourse the comics.

A British comic is a periodical published in the United Kingdom that contains comic strips. It is generally referred to as a comic or a comic magazine, and historically as a comic paper.

British comics are usually comics anthologies which are typically aimed at children, and are published weekly, although some are also published on a fortnightly or monthly schedule. The top three longest-running comics in the world, The Dandy, The Beano, and Comic Cuts, are all British, although in modern times British comics have been largely superseded by American comic books and Japanese manga.

You can access the information and comics through the sidebar.
The comics are mostly in packages from around 100mb, inside these rar-packages you will find the comics in cbr format.dandare

There are no DC Thomson related comics on the site, because i had to remove these.

You can view the comics with any cbr-reader like CDisplay or ComicRack.

Most comics are from the 50’s-80’s with some 90’s.

I only place issues from last century,
so no issues newer than the year 1999.

I did not scan the comics myself only collect them from various sites on the internet, internet archive, Usenet Newsgroups and torrents.
So thanks to all the scanners and uploaders.

This blog is purely ment to preserve the comics and to enjoy them, no financial meanings are involved, if you like the comics buy them as long as they are availabe, because nothing can beat the feeling of reading a real comic.

If you find something wrong (downloads, numbering, information) please let me know so that i can correct the error.

I am afraid i can’t help with problems like these, only when a file is deleted i can make a new link, but the problems are just with a few, i’ve asked last month to comment about the propblems with specifications of what exactly are the errors and messages to see of there’s a pattern. But just a few reacted, i can see most files are downloaded 50+ times allready, so i think the problem is not with me but with some individual users. All i can say is i do just the same as always, make packages with winrar and all comics i can read with CDisplayEx.

Hello Bosco. No you don’t upset or bother me at all, i just can’t help everytime with problems that can come up, it can be related to so many things, like in your case mobile can be much more different than desktop also. Just keep asking when you have problems, as i said, when it’s a problem i can help with, i will, and sometimes others can help also.

I just like to get something of my chest about errors downloading and reading. I am always willing to help whenever i can, but most problems that occur are individual problems and that can be everything, i can’t look into someones computersystem to see what’s wrong. I’ve asked last month to report problems with specifications to see if i can find a pattern, but just few reactions, and i can see most files are downloaded 100+ the least, so the problem is not widespread in my opinion. When someone complaint that he had to spend a considerable amount of his own time converting jpeg into jpg and asks me to convert the jpeg into jpg in the future because jpeg is rubbish, it’s hard for me to take these sort of comments serious. As i said before, when someone has a problem i can help with i will always try to help, especially problems like links that are deleted, that’s something i can really help with. But with the comics reading i can’t help, so many different scanners are working hard, the one will use jpg the other jpeg and another even bmp or png, not even mentioning the different resolutions, that’s something i can’t help with when someone can’t cope with these formats and resolutions. All i can say always is i use a windows desktop with OS Windows 10 and convert the comics into packs with WinRAR and can read all comics that are on the blog with CDisplayEx 1.10.33 and most of them also with ComicRack. And that’s what i do for years and years now, always the same methods, there will be always cases that someone, for whatever reason, can’t download, extract or read a comic. One other point is, read the comments also, sometimes users have really useful solutions for extracting- and readingproblems.
