Welcome on this blog full of information about British comics and offcourse the comics.
A British comic is a periodical published in the United Kingdom that contains comic strips. It is generally referred to as a comic or a comic magazine, and historically as a comic paper.
British comics are usually comics anthologies which are typically aimed at children, and are published weekly, although some are also published on a fortnightly or monthly schedule. The top three longest-running comics in the world, The Dandy, The Beano, and Comic Cuts, are all British, although in modern times British comics have been largely superseded by American comic books and Japanese manga.
You can access the information and comics through the sidebar.
The comics are mostly in packages from around 100mb, inside these rar-packages you will find the comics in cbr format.
There are no DC Thomson related comics on the site, because i had to remove these.
You can view the comics with any cbr-reader like CDisplay or ComicRack.
Most comics are from the 50’s-80’s with some 90’s.
I only place issues from last century,
so no issues newer than the year 1999.
I did not scan the comics myself only collect them from various sites on the internet, internet archive, Usenet Newsgroups and torrents.
So thanks to all the scanners and uploaders.
This blog is purely ment to preserve the comics and to enjoy them, no financial meanings are involved, if you like the comics buy them as long as they are availabe, because nothing can beat the feeling of reading a real comic.
If you find something wrong (downloads, numbering, information) please let me know so that i can correct the error.
Thanks to the following sites for the information :

This one’s for DC Thomson

Does anyone remember the UK Hardcover annuals from the ’60s that had a selection of American DC Comics stuck together inside? Obviously, most of the contents would be available on the ‘Comics For All’ section but I would be interested in knowing what issues were included and what annuals were, in fact, sold.

These were produced by Thorpe and Porter, and included remaindered stock, with the covers removed (I think) and the interiors stuck together with a card cover added. The contents varied, so for example two copies of the Green Lantern annual could include different comics. There were several different ones; as well as Green lantern I have also seen Hawkman, Atom and JLA annuals. There were probably more, but I don’t think anyone has produced a definitive list of these. They do crop up on Ebay fairly regularly. Try looking in the Comicbook Price Guide for Great Britain for more info.

By the looks of things the covers were not removed.
I am probably confusing them with the Double Double comics also produced by Thorpe and Porter.

Thanks, Trev.
So, it looks like each copy was unique in its contents. That’ll make them just simply impossible to catalogue with any surety.
I saw the two which I owned up on the price guide (Metal Men and Hawkman) and was surprised that they weren’t associated with DC comics in anyway.
I would be a bit surprised if any purchased today would still be intact as they were notoriously badly glued together and any that would appear for sale would be, understandingly, glued back together over the years by the owner. A problem that could arise is a stray comic could be added to replace a missing issue and nobody would know.
All the Best

Thanks, you are welcome. Most of those titles are from Belgium, i think my collection comics in Dutch language are 90% from Belgian artists and publishers. The titles Agent 327, Franka, Suske en Wiske, Nero, Jerom, Lambik i have complete or almost complete amongst many other titles. Scattered around my house i have 12 bookcases in different sizes and many boxes with comics.

I’ve been collecting foreign language war comics this past year. I’m not sure if these are Dutch. The titles are Army, Army Strip, Navy, Navy strip, Commando classics, Commando superstrip, Oorlog, RAF, Strijd Classics, Super Reeks, and Victoria. I’m willing to share these and other foreign language war comics if you are interested.
