Welcome on this blog full of information about British comics and offcourse the comics.
A British comic is a periodical published in the United Kingdom that contains comic strips. It is generally referred to as a comic or a comic magazine, and historically as a comic paper.
British comics are usually comics anthologies which are typically aimed at children, and are published weekly, although some are also published on a fortnightly or monthly schedule. The top three longest-running comics in the world, The Dandy, The Beano, and Comic Cuts, are all British, although in modern times British comics have been largely superseded by American comic books and Japanese manga.
You can access the information and comics through the sidebar.
The comics are mostly in packages from around 100mb, inside these rar-packages you will find the comics in cbr format.
There are no DC Thomson related comics on the site, because i had to remove these.
You can view the comics with any cbr-reader like CDisplay or ComicRack.
Most comics are from the 50’s-80’s with some 90’s.
I only place issues from last century,
so no issues newer than the year 1999.
I did not scan the comics myself only collect them from various sites on the internet, internet archive, Usenet Newsgroups and torrents.
So thanks to all the scanners and uploaders.
This blog is purely ment to preserve the comics and to enjoy them, no financial meanings are involved, if you like the comics buy them as long as they are availabe, because nothing can beat the feeling of reading a real comic.
If you find something wrong (downloads, numbering, information) please let me know so that i can correct the error.
Thanks to the following sites for the information :

I’ve uploaded almost 2500 movie posters, sheets and windowcards from before 1980 from all over the world in the Pulp and Old Magazines Blog. Mostly from wellknown movies but also from cultmovies. They are no magazines but some is pulp and i think alot of these vintage movieposters are real pieces of art.

Hi Boutje,
Do you have the girls’ magazines Jackie and Valentine? I searched but couldn’t find.

Our host is probably asleep right now due to all the updates he has been doing. He has got to be exhausted. I believe both of those were published by DC Thompson and he has been forced to remove their material from the site. Quite annoying actually.

Not exhausted at all. You have to know that i am working on most updates for months, when i think i have one ready it only needs a finishing touch in most cases, like uploading and copy and past the links into the page. And sometimes, like the last weeks i have more updates ready for a finishing touch almost at the same time. Still have a few almost ready again.

Next weeks i will try to reorganize all organized pages from other titles with the updates and upgrades from the last 3 months, so everything will be up to date somewhere next month i hope.

Hi Boutje.
I am not sure if you intended to include all upgrades and new issues of Buster since your last major update on 04/05/21.
A complete scan of Buster and Monster Fun Holiday Special 1990 was provided by stephenhyde on 09/05/21 but you still have the incomplete 13 page copy on the Buster (Various) page.
Also, Buster Holiday Special 1977 seems to have gone missing. I am assuming you had this before because I must have got it from this page in the first place.
LikeLike
Thanks i will replace that issue with the complete one asap, the Holiday Special 77 must have vanished somehow, i can’t seem to find it anymore, but it’s possible i renamed it in Buster and Monster Fun and it’s situated there, because there were more of those.
P.S.
I see what happened, not all new Buster issues and upgrades that were in the comments are placed, because i was allready working on organizing, all missing will be in the next update and after that at the Buster pages.

Ron Embleton’s Daniel the Daydreamer
The 1982 & 1983 ‘Jack and Jill’ annuals were greatly enhanced by Ron Embleton’s lovely endpapers featuring the daydreaming Daniel. As they didn’t appear in the adjacent years, these are probably all there is; but they did give Embleton a chance to return to some of his favourite subjects: like Pirates and ‘Red Indians’. Yoi’ll find a cbr compilation at the following link:

To join the 2 pages, on my Mac I scan the pages, create a blank page then copy and paste each page on to the blank page adjust so they marry up then just save the page. It’s a bit fiddly but after a while you get better at it.
