Welcome on this blog full of information about British comics and offcourse the comics.

A British comic is a periodical published in the United Kingdom that contains comic strips. It is generally referred to as a comic or a comic magazine, and historically as a comic paper.

British comics are usually comics anthologies which are typically aimed at children, and are published weekly, although some are also published on a fortnightly or monthly schedule. The top three longest-running comics in the world, The Dandy, The Beano, and Comic Cuts, are all British, although in modern times British comics have been largely superseded by American comic books and Japanese manga.

You can access the information and comics through the sidebar.
The comics are mostly in packages from around 100mb, inside these rar-packages you will find the comics in cbr format.dandare

There are no DC Thomson related comics on the site, because i had to remove these.

You can view the comics with any cbr-reader like CDisplay or ComicRack.

Most comics are from the 50’s-80’s with some 90’s.

I only place issues from last century,
so no issues newer than the year 1999.

I did not scan the comics myself only collect them from various sites on the internet, internet archive, Usenet Newsgroups and torrents.
So thanks to all the scanners and uploaders.

This blog is purely ment to preserve the comics and to enjoy them, no financial meanings are involved, if you like the comics buy them as long as they are availabe, because nothing can beat the feeling of reading a real comic.

If you find something wrong (downloads, numbering, information) please let me know so that i can correct the error.

I am glad this will help.

I have a nice idea, to get all the Comic Date and Numbering Guides in one place without having a problem to find them when needed.

I will put them together as a compilation, that way anyone can find what they want to know about individual comics.

Also, as I prepare them individually they can be added as updates, when ready.

At the moment I got three ready already.

I let you know more later, when they are ready to add to my compilations .

One of the very first records I bought (with my OWN! money) as a young teenager was ‘The Specials – “Do Nothing” 🙂

I went to a concert early 80s from the Specials, with Selecter as supporting act, with some friends with the train to Amsterdam. It was way after bedtime when the concert ended and when we came at the trainstation, the last train was allready gone. We decided to sit down in an underground parkinglot, we sang songs from the specials, and felt to sleep at some time and i woke up when a police officer tapped me on my shoulder. They were very cooperative and laughed when we told them what happened. We took the first train back to Rotterdam, because in Amsterdam you won’t stay for longer than necessary.

I never can tell exactly, because that depends on other things, what i am doing for my other blogs, the uploading and downloading, organizing things, even the weather has his influence. All i can say is that i try to have 1 download each month.

            Your welcome!

That’s 15 comic date and numbering guides.

Do you have them all now?

In the past there were more comic guides, I think over 20 others, do you still have those from the past to put together with the others, when you make a page for it?

Later, after prepare more comic guides of Wham!, Pow!, Fantastic, Terrific and Smash! I will let you know again.

That’s cool and great, looking forward to seeing that.

After I know which comic Guides you have on your page, I will know what other comics to prepare for later.

It will make it easier too for me.

It is also useful for others to know what comics to find for you too, by comparing what you have on your blog with the list of comics.

Thanks. very appropriate, it’s our King’s birthday, well not really, but we celebrate it on this day every year, it used to be Queensday now it’s Kingsday. But there will be no festivities, like last year, because of the well known reason.

For everyone interested in old cars. I’ve updated the Pulp and Old Magazines blog with 79 Car Brochures from before 1980, not really magazines, but some brochures did look like magazines sometimes. You can find them in the Hobby and Technology section.
