Welcome on this blog full of information about British comics and offcourse the comics.
A British comic is a periodical published in the United Kingdom that contains comic strips. It is generally referred to as a comic or a comic magazine, and historically as a comic paper.
British comics are usually comics anthologies which are typically aimed at children, and are published weekly, although some are also published on a fortnightly or monthly schedule. The top three longest-running comics in the world, The Dandy, The Beano, and Comic Cuts, are all British, although in modern times British comics have been largely superseded by American comic books and Japanese manga.
You can access the information and comics through the sidebar.
The comics are mostly in packages from around 100mb, inside these rar-packages you will find the comics in cbr format.
There are no DC Thomson related comics on the site, because i had to remove these.
You can view the comics with any cbr-reader like CDisplay or ComicRack.
Most comics are from the 50’s-80’s with some 90’s.
I only place issues from last century,
so no issues newer than the year 1999.
I did not scan the comics myself only collect them from various sites on the internet, internet archive, Usenet Newsgroups and torrents.
So thanks to all the scanners and uploaders.
This blog is purely ment to preserve the comics and to enjoy them, no financial meanings are involved, if you like the comics buy them as long as they are availabe, because nothing can beat the feeling of reading a real comic.
If you find something wrong (downloads, numbering, information) please let me know so that i can correct the error.
Thanks to the following sites for the information :

There is also a Tarzan, which should be in World Adventure Library
And 2 Starblazers which are by a certain Scottish company.
It would be awfully decent of you to address these.

That’s weird, i can’t find a page for Schoolgirls’ Adventure Library and i do have them, perhaps i deleted it by accident.
Same for June and Schoolfriend. I will make a page for both also today.

Thanks, i will place these later today in the Compilationsblog.

I’ve made 2 new pages, June and Schoolfriend Picture Library and Schoolgirls’ Adventure Library, they were once on the blog but disappeared somehow. Also made a page for Outer Space because there are 10 issue all together, more than enough for an own page.

I estimate with all the Buster weekly comics , Best of Buster Monthly and Buster Fortnightly alone, that the Buster section will be about 250 comics for next update

I will be preparing the whizzer and chips list of those I think you need and get back to check with you later first before upload.

Thank you. Can you try to save/keep more links and lists and make 1 comment for those when done, the reason i ask is that other comments from users are pushed away and it’s easy for me to miss 1 or 2 comments that are essential with 20 or more comments in a short period of time, thanks for understanding.

Probably telling people something they already know, but just in case:
the-saleroom.com collects almost all of the UK-based auction sales in one place, and has online-only sales too. It’s absolutely full of comic bundles, and is a prime place to find runs of Eagle, Beano, Buster, war comics etc etc, and US comics, usually at good prices too!
If you register you can log in to follow auctions live and bid on lots through the site (it’s what you see on ‘Antiques Roadtrip’ etc). I’ve used it for years. You can fill great holes in your collection rapidly, often far cheaper than using dealers (over 800 girl’s comics for less than £200! a couple of years back).
Don’t forget you’ll need to add shipping costs (unless in normal times you can collect) plus the auctioneers fees (usually 17-20%)..
Good hunting!

I hope so too. I actually had the full collection of Roy of the Rovers but sold them with many thousands of other comics about 6-7 years ago. If only I knew about this site then, I could have filled many gaps.
