Welcome on this blog full of information about British comics and offcourse the comics.
A British comic is a periodical published in the United Kingdom that contains comic strips. It is generally referred to as a comic or a comic magazine, and historically as a comic paper.
British comics are usually comics anthologies which are typically aimed at children, and are published weekly, although some are also published on a fortnightly or monthly schedule. The top three longest-running comics in the world, The Dandy, The Beano, and Comic Cuts, are all British, although in modern times British comics have been largely superseded by American comic books and Japanese manga.
You can access the information and comics through the sidebar.
The comics are mostly in packages from around 100mb, inside these rar-packages you will find the comics in cbr format.
There are no DC Thomson related comics on the site, because i had to remove these.
You can view the comics with any cbr-reader like CDisplay or ComicRack.
Most comics are from the 50’s-80’s with some 90’s.
I only place issues from last century,
so no issues newer than the year 1999.
I did not scan the comics myself only collect them from various sites on the internet, internet archive, Usenet Newsgroups and torrents.
So thanks to all the scanners and uploaders.
This blog is purely ment to preserve the comics and to enjoy them, no financial meanings are involved, if you like the comics buy them as long as they are availabe, because nothing can beat the feeling of reading a real comic.
If you find something wrong (downloads, numbering, information) please let me know so that i can correct the error.
Thanks to the following sites for the information :

Having just stumbled across this site today by pure chance, a huge thanks to everyone that took the time to upload all these gems!
Why I let my parents get rid of all my 80’s UK comics will probably trouble me for years so I am glad that I found this site!

Just an usability related issue: Perhaps it would be a good idea to relocate the Recent Posts section at the top of the website instead at the bottom, unless it’s your purpose to make us go down all the website looking for it.ñ
But for the rest of your work, great!!

Many thanks for the update (and this site in general). I really appreciate the chance to relive my childhood !
Can I just ask if the link is in place for Whoopee! 1981-05-02 ? All I’m seeing is red text with no link.

I am always amazed at how many Jack and Jill’s you seem to be able to find. Not that I am complaining. I have a ten year old daughter who enjoys those, and the other similar comics you keep finding.

I’ve just uploaded Clive Huckstepp’s fine scans and edits of issues 51-100 of ‘World of Wonder’ to the Scanarama ‘Missing Files’ folder. They can also be found in my own folder at the following link:

I just bought a collection of 110 issues of a british comic called Rainbow – not to be confused with the Rainbow you currently have on the site. This is a different series.
If you would like to see an image of the comics they are here but almost no information is online about them: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/124532092789

Hi. As someone with little computer knowledge, could you give me more detailed instruction of how to download and read the comics please? If you can point me in the direction of where I get the comic readers etc The range of comics available looks brilliant

Internet archive did have a comic reader at one point. If you have an app store on your computer you can also find them there. You will also need a zip opener as well. Mind you the first time I downloaded anything when I wanted to open the zip file my computer actually suggested an app to do that, same when I wanted to read a comic. Yours might do the same.

First of all i only work with a Windowsbased desktop computer so i can’t help you with other systems. Most of the comics are in packs made with Winrar, you can unpack these with Winrar also. After that you will find the comics in cbr or cbz format which you can read with a comic reader like CDisplayEx or ComicRack. You can find free comicreaders with Google search, just do a search comic reader. I am sure there are other ways, but for me it works this way. Perhaps others can help you even more detailed.

I read comics on a Windows 7 laptop. But, in my experience, there is no significant difference from using a Windows 7 desktop.
There are 8 comic book readers with which I’m familiar, but the three best are CDisplayEx, CDisplay and ComicsViewer. You can download them from the following cloud folder:

The other 5 are CBR Reader, Comical, MComix, GonVisor, and YACReader –
