Welcome on this blog full of information about British comics and offcourse the comics.

A British comic is a periodical published in the United Kingdom that contains comic strips. It is generally referred to as a comic or a comic magazine, and historically as a comic paper.

British comics are usually comics anthologies which are typically aimed at children, and are published weekly, although some are also published on a fortnightly or monthly schedule. The top three longest-running comics in the world, The Dandy, The Beano, and Comic Cuts, are all British, although in modern times British comics have been largely superseded by American comic books and Japanese manga.

You can access the information and comics through the sidebar.
The comics are mostly in packages from around 100mb, inside these rar-packages you will find the comics in cbr format.dandare

There are no DC Thomson related comics on the site, because i had to remove these.

You can view the comics with any cbr-reader like CDisplay or ComicRack.

Most comics are from the 50’s-80’s with some 90’s.

I only place issues from last century,
so no issues newer than the year 1999.

I did not scan the comics myself only collect them from various sites on the internet, internet archive, Usenet Newsgroups and torrents.
So thanks to all the scanners and uploaders.

This blog is purely ment to preserve the comics and to enjoy them, no financial meanings are involved, if you like the comics buy them as long as they are availabe, because nothing can beat the feeling of reading a real comic.

If you find something wrong (downloads, numbering, information) please let me know so that i can correct the error.

Unfortunately, DCT is probably monitoring this public website so they can track down other repositories of goodness and shut them down as well. If you want a full listing of all the title names and issue numbers head on over to the Commandos for Anzac Chaps”” chat group on Facebook to download a fully legal copy of the listing. Nothing they can do to a list someone creating by withing down issue numbers with the corresponding title.

Can anybody know anything about a comics perhaps published from London named like “Ma’m Gel X” (ম্যা’ম জেল এক্স sounds in bengali), a spy thriller comics? I have read it in Bengali, published on Shuktara(শুকতারা) from Kolkata, West Bengal, India. The central character “Ma’am Gel X” is a woman spy with her maid Ninti fights with his brilliant intellegence against Nazi.

Does anyone remember a time in the early 80s when there was this promotion for Skips (the prawn cocktail melt in the mouth corn snack!) where comics had coupons to cut out to exchange for free packs?

I have this strong memory of going into my local newsagents, Martins, one Saturday, and picking up Buster, Whizzer & Chips and Whoopee, buying them, and then, while still standing in the shop, tearing out a coupon from each comic for the crisps and exchanging them too!

So what was that, maybe 10p a pack back then? So I had 30p worth of free crisps! And then to go home and eat them while watching Saturday Superstore was like the best ever thing in the world.

    I absolutely loved Saturday’s when I was a kid… 🙂 🙂

I am preparing to process all issues that belongs to organized pages from the updates starting 2020-05 (because the updates before that i did allready) so all organized pages will be up to date again. After that i will process all issues that aren’t on organized pages from all updates. After that I will delete all updates until 2020-09 because everything will be on the titlepages where they belong, at the top of those pages under the header updates, organizing all these pages is something for the future.

I fully agree with “Anonymous says” November 3, 2020. I’m still older and we in South Africa had limited access to the wonderful word of comic. I only now realised how much I missed. I noticed that Commando pictures library is not available anymore. I have two incomplete Commando picture library no 744 and 876 that downloaded with missing pages. Is there anybody that can help to download the complete Commando 744 and 876? Thanks.
