Welcome on this blog full of information about British comics and offcourse the comics.

A British comic is a periodical published in the United Kingdom that contains comic strips. It is generally referred to as a comic or a comic magazine, and historically as a comic paper.

British comics are usually comics anthologies which are typically aimed at children, and are published weekly, although some are also published on a fortnightly or monthly schedule. The top three longest-running comics in the world, The Dandy, The Beano, and Comic Cuts, are all British, although in modern times British comics have been largely superseded by American comic books and Japanese manga.

You can access the information and comics through the sidebar.
The comics are mostly in packages from around 100mb, inside these rar-packages you will find the comics in cbr format.dandare

There are no DC Thomson related comics on the site, because i had to remove these.

You can view the comics with any cbr-reader like CDisplay or ComicRack.

Most comics are from the 50’s-80’s with some 90’s.

I only place issues from last century,
so no issues newer than the year 1999.

I did not scan the comics myself only collect them from various sites on the internet, internet archive, Usenet Newsgroups and torrents.
So thanks to all the scanners and uploaders.

This blog is purely ment to preserve the comics and to enjoy them, no financial meanings are involved, if you like the comics buy them as long as they are availabe, because nothing can beat the feeling of reading a real comic.

If you find something wrong (downloads, numbering, information) please let me know so that i can correct the error.

Does anyone knows if there is a index for IPC issues like there is for Fleetway ? Or a guide for Buster like Mr. Tweedy posted for Comet, Knockout and Sun ?
Or a site where the stories for Buster are listed with the dates ?

There is an index in the same format as those – If I can scan it without damaging it I will add later in the week…

Hi, I vividly remember TV Century 21/TV21 from my youth. Fortunately i have about all of them digitally. Shame they are not allowed now by Fleetwood. Plenty of other faves inc. Eagle etc.

Maybe a blurb in the entry page for the site saying that unfortunately due to DC Thompson’s lawyers there are no DC Thompson series on this site.

I am thinking to merge the following blogs into 1 big comicblog.

    Army and War
    Crime and Police
    Family and Educational
    Four Colour Comics
    Golden Age Heroes
    Horror and Mystery
    Indrajal
    Jungle
    Love and Romance
    Movie and Television
    Silver and Bronze Age
    Space SF and Fantasy
    Underground and Alternative
    Western

So that will be 14 blogs into 1.
It should be like my latest blog Vintage Vinyl.
Where you can find at the side links to the specific categories which will bring you
to the page with the titles from that categorie and from where you can visit
the pages with information and downloads from a specific title.

You can look for an example by the theme British Invasion in the Vintage Vinyl.

The other blogs remain as they are.
I just would like to get rid of so many comicblogs because it will be much easier with
updating and to keep an eye on everything with just one adress for all these blogs and it’s much easier to browse through all the comicblogs also.
I hope to make it more organized and give it more uniformity that way also.

It’s not a work that will be done in a week or even a month, because i have to copy and paste all posts 1 by 1 into the new blog and change the adress of all covers, i hope to have it ready before the end of this year.

It would absolutely make it a lot easier to keep track of what’s new if they are in one grouping like that. A heck of a lot of work it will definitely be.

It’s less work then i assumed. Especially with the adress-renaming from the covers, with the use of wildcards *.* i can change all coveradresses from 1 blog into the address from the new blog in 1 batch. That will be done in a jiffy. I still have to download them and upload them to the new blog, but that’s also a matter of downloading and uploading in 1 batch when i am away or sleeping. And i still have to copy and paste all posts 1 by 1. But i have good hope all can be done in 2 or 3 months.

Hello Mr.Boutje, just visited your “Comics for all” blog. Liked everything from your welcome note “Welcome on this blog full of information about all sort of Comics, and of course the comics themselves”.
Your every individual blog is itself a wholesome treat. Now bringing 14 blogs in to one is a hell of a job, or should I say heaven of a job? Collecting these treasures is man’s lifework. You are doing it amazingly. For the comics lovers like me, one lifetime surely won’t be enough to enjoy everything. Will keep following you, while you are digging the treasures deep down. (The difference between your existing blogs and the new one, every comic titles were have a cover image. Here the title are in text form. Like Aces High, Air war stories….Just one thought, i personally feel like missing the tempting cover images And leave it to the master mind to decide) Hereafter will be following your new Avatar, instead of following 14. And won’t miss an update.
    Thanks for everything Mr.Boutje.

Thanks, you are welcome. I am a coverlover also but i chose to use no covers at the linkpages because of more uniformity, instead of a part coverlinks and a part textlinks. Not all comic titles have coverlinks, just the large titles. Perhaps in the future when this blog is completely up and running. And you can always look at all covers at the downloadpages.
