Welcome on this blog full of information about British comics and offcourse the comics.
A British comic is a periodical published in the United Kingdom that contains comic strips. It is generally referred to as a comic or a comic magazine, and historically as a comic paper.
British comics are usually comics anthologies which are typically aimed at children, and are published weekly, although some are also published on a fortnightly or monthly schedule. The top three longest-running comics in the world, The Dandy, The Beano, and Comic Cuts, are all British, although in modern times British comics have been largely superseded by American comic books and Japanese manga.
You can access the information and comics through the sidebar.
The comics are mostly in packages from around 100mb, inside these rar-packages you will find the comics in cbr format.
There are no DC Thomson related comics on the site, because i had to remove these.
You can view the comics with any cbr-reader like CDisplay or ComicRack.
Most comics are from the 50’s-80’s with some 90’s.
I only place issues from last century,
so no issues newer than the year 1999.
I did not scan the comics myself only collect them from various sites on the internet, internet archive, Usenet Newsgroups and torrents.
So thanks to all the scanners and uploaders.
This blog is purely ment to preserve the comics and to enjoy them, no financial meanings are involved, if you like the comics buy them as long as they are availabe, because nothing can beat the feeling of reading a real comic.
If you find something wrong (downloads, numbering, information) please let me know so that i can correct the error.
Thanks to the following sites for the information :

I there. Do you have the comic book SPELLBOUND, from DC Thompson?

Ooff, i’m done downloading everything i lost, Newspaperstrips, Silver and Bronze Age Comics, Family Comics, Picture Libraries, Pulp and Magazines, Radioshows, Compilations (i found even some files with compilations were i was working on from Tiger, must have saved them awhile ago and forgot about it, so i can continue finishing these also in the next months). I had to buy 2 new external hard drives for everything. Perhaps those lost ones served their time, i think i bought these more than 10 years ago.

Don Lawrence’s Karl the Viking 6
I recently posted this on Scanarama, and as it was intended to complete Mr.Tweedy’s excellent 5 volumes on this site, this is undoubtedly its real home. My original posting was as follows:
I’ve just added a compilation of the missing ‘Karl the Viking’ stories to the archive. These are stories that appeared in the Lion annuals, and a few comments are in order. I’ve spared you the appalling colouring on ‘The Swamp of Fear’ by making it grayscale; a great improvement, believe me. The colour on ‘The Ghost of the Tideless Sea’ is in a different class altogether, being painted by Don Lawrence. I’ve also added his ‘Sea Raiders’–from Valiant annual–scripted again by Moorcock, as a nice non-fiction companion piece. ‘The Hammer of Thor’ featured Karl in his Rolf guise, and I’ve renamed all such instances.
If Mr Tweedy would care to add his own cover to this, to give us a matching set of Karl and Maroc, it would be much appreciated!

Just one small note: according to the Book Palace Karl the Viking collection the artist on ‘Swamp of Fear’ was Robert Forrest.

Are you missing any Tiger issues from 1975 to 1985 or any Roy of the Rovers?
LikeLike
No i don’t think so, can’t find any gaps at first sight.

I’m pretty sure there are some editions of Tiger that are incomplete, but I couldn’t tell you which ones without going through them all again. Some end a few pages early. I think some of the Roy of the Rovers annuals also have plain white “missing page” placeholders. I’ll look through those now and post which ones need updating later this morning, if I find any. It might be Tiger annuals though, I sometimes get the two mixed up!

Thanks, i will come across the incomplete Tiger issues eventually when i am working on compilations, but that will take some time indeed.

I had a look through the Roy of the Rovers annuals and found the following with missing pages. It might also be worth noting on the page info for the download that no annual was produced in 1976 and 1977, just in case people notice the gap and ask for them?
I will look through Tiger this week, as I know there were also a few issues of that with sections of pages that had been whited out, sometimes quite roughly, as well as missing pages. I only have ten years worth of issues to check as that’s all I’ve downloaded so far!
Roy of the Rovers annuals missing pages.
1965 : 33 – 38, 43 – 46, 95-96
1969 : 37-38
1975 : 51-52

My 35 Roy’s are all late 1976 till late-ish 1977. The Tiger’s seem to be a full run from 1975-1985. I thought I would scan the ones you have missing before selling the lot off. Do you think someone from way down there in old Blighty would pay for shipping from up here in sunny AUS. Not selling on here.

Thanks for letting me know, i have a problem also, i can’t read them but they open with Winzip to see all pages inside the file. I will try to fix it and make a new link later today.
PS
I just fixed these issues, i just extracted them with Winzip and archived them again and gave them the cbr format and i can read them with CDisplayEx and Comicrack, i don’t know what caused the problem.
You can find the link for these 2 below the other link.
