The Vulcan Annual 1977 stops at page 56, the first page of a story. While the books index page shows over 85 pages. (thank you for creating this site)

The Kobra/Vulcan scans started as an April fool’s joke when I discovered several German Kobra scans and transferred the English text onto the pages, remaking Vulcan copies. Everything after Vulcan V2 28 (3 Apr 1976) were Kobra scans and some of the missing Scottish issues from 1975 were again Kobra scans with English added back in. It also appears that Kobra issues were printed two weeks earlier than the Vulcan equivelant and were marked on the front cover with the week of the year but no date.

Thanks, i will place this information on the page for keeping.

Hello boutje777,
I just discovered your Vulcan page .
As always per my Trigan interest, it is interesting to see how Vulcan treated the Look and Learn issues by reconfiguring pages, pictures, dropping sometimes full pages in the continuity
And amazed to see Storm in issue 139
Another fantastic work by you !!!
Thanks again

Hi Boutje
I think The Vulcan v1 1976-03-13 was bad dated (I know it’s the date in the front cover), however it fit with 1976-05-29 because its stories are the following of the 1976-05-22 issue
LikeLike
Thanks Luis Miguel, that was a bit confusing yes 2 issues with the same date, which one has to be 1976-05-29 you think a or b, so i can place it on the right place with a note by the covers.

Hi Boutje
As I said the incorrect one is v1 1976-03-13, it has Mytek The Mighty’s hand in the front cover, you have named it as Vulcan 1976-03-13b, I am sure because it fits perfectly with the previous and post stories.
Its real dated is 1976-05-29

Thanks Luis Miguel, i will correct this tonight.

Hi Boutje. Did you ever begin a Storm (Don Lawrence) compilation? If so, what issues are needed? It’s proving tricky to find in English.

No, never tried burning my fingers on that one, there is the story The pirates of Pandarve that was serialized in Marvel’s Strip Magazine, otherwise i only came across Storm stories in Heavy Metal. There are a few stories in the Compilationsblog.

Ah. Found the first issue from BEA… https://mega.nz/file/WeoRmaKC#18XuN3pgWPtYX0-e26Zg5Tf47LBKQcxnEPwLdusJeqU And saw reprints in later Vulcans. Didn’t know about Heavy Metal, I’ll have a look. Thanks

I believe only 2 stories were in Heavy Metal v20 06 and v23 01.

Yeah, got them. Wikipedia says Quality published reprints in English. I’ve sent Dez Skinn a message. Let’s see. 🙂

Hello Boutje,
From your last posts, and as per my last remarks (june) in your home page, the Look and Learn Trigan episods in Vulcan 210-213 were not following the story continuity, they should have been Lnkn 808-815.
Things want back correct in Vulcan 214 which effectively contains the right Lnkn 816-819 ones.
Thanks again for your work

Thanks, those are homemade issues so i think the one who made them was mistaken, i try to find out what happened or maybe it was on purpose.

Hi Boutje777,
Again many thankd for you and your team efforts, my questions regarding Vulcan, is that even Wikipedia and Grand Comic DB are telling that Vulcan last issue released was on April 1976, so what about all your issues above extending till Dec. 1979? are they genuine? and is the issue dated 1979-12-01 last issue released?
Sorry for my bad english and hope I was clear as much as I can.
Thanks in advance.

You are welcome. These last issues are all homemade, so not official publishings.

I scanned the 1975-10-11 issue when I found a copy at a con, hoping that others would be able to fill in the rest, I’m glad the comic is coming out, I loved the Trigan Empire.
