Actually, Thor’s origin appeared in Journey Into Mystery #83, not #86.

  2. A repaired scan of the 1968 Fantastic Summer Special can be found at:
    http://www.mediafire.com/?ii6yvnupx47qq2l

The damage on the original has been repaired, the discolouration of the pages removed, and the images restored to their original contrast and brightness. There were originally no missing pages, but the physical comic had suffered quite bad deterioration, which has been fixed on this digitally restored version.

  3. For anyone interested in the above mentioned PDF files, it is easy to convert a .PDF file to .ePub using Calibre.

The benefit of an .ePub file is that it can be opened in WinZip or WinRAR to extract the .jpg files, which you can then put in a simple .cbr or .cbz comics format file instead.
